Thought I'd pass along this bit of news from my film-maker friend Dennis Foon. His new family movie, Shine of Rainbows will be opening this weekend in Vancouver, Langley and Victoria. It's based on the Lillian Beckwith novel of the same name. Go see it if you get the chance.

Just came across your site using the 'next blog' button and it's so weird 'cause I was just reading about this film about five minutes ago! I've never read the book but the movie was shot a few miles down the road from me here in Ireland and I was reading about it's opening in the local paper. Weird.
Very strange Róisín. I'm hoping to catch the film this week myself as I'm meeting up with my film writer friend on the weekend at a Young Adult Conference that we've both been teaching at for the last several years. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the blog. Sheryl
